build a space is a song that holds alot of soft reminders for me, it acts as a grounding song, it provides alot of comfort and compassion, it reminds me to be kind to myself

i hope that you can find the same kind of comfort, because sometimes, we don't know and everything comes undone and at the end of the day, again and again, we see it through, again and again we breathe it through.

i decided to introduce this song first as it sets my intentions for what I want this project to be.

I'm trying to build a space (for creative reflection, community and our stories)

fill it with love (so others can find a safe space, compassion and softness)

find my grace from who I was (to heal, become a better version of ourselves)

And when I think back to when and how this song came about,

it came from after a period of darkness and apathy

i was in the transition of resetting my whole life, and every space

financially, physically, mentally, career wise,

there was alot of turbulence and adversities I had gone through

and this song

im not sure how to describe it

it helped and still helps anchor and validate my process

everything that I do is and operate from, is from this sense of

i'm trying to build a space, fill it with love, find my grace from who I was

to be present and compassionate

and even though, sometimes things count down faster than you can react

5,4,3,2,1 everything comes undone

you can remember to take a moment to breathe today

everything will be okay

everything will be okay is a line that is rather loaded, almost like this too shall pass, it doesn't really encapsulate the full context, which is why I appreciate the lines

Again and again, i see it through, again and again, I breathe it through

I am reminded of the quote that goes something like

you've survived 100% of your hardest days.

I hope you know that you have too.

so yeah, i actually sing this song very often, and was listening to it as I was writing this.

it holds a space for me to ground myself and remember I can see it and breathe every moment of life through.

i invite you to take a moment to reflect:

in your current season of life, what are you trying to build a space for? what do you want to fill it with?

it doesn't have to be a big answer, it can be very simple, I want to build a space for more movement in my day, I want to fill it with time to stretch and strengthen my muscles.

That's actually what I'm currently trying to do.

if you are comfortable doing so, feel free to share in the comments!

throughout this journey, i will be sharing original songs and how they have held a space for my well-being and healing. I'm still considering how I want to share these reflections, whether throwing down the lyrics first would be helpful or to dive straight in. So the formatting will evolve throughout the journey.

I am open to any suggestions, feedbacks or comments on the formatting,

And if you reach the end of this, thank you for sharing this space with me.

Lots of love.

Take care always.
