feel: thank you

This week I released the last song and reflection post called song: thank you
and for this week's feel creative prompt, it is going to be more a personal reflection for myself. this is the last feel: prompt for this MAP2 HOLD A SPACE journey.
And I wanted to do something a bit different, I just wanted to create and express, so I decided to pull out a blank canvas, paints and a brush. I decided that I wanted to make a little art piece as a thank you for the people who have held a space with me throughout this journey. And a part of my creating experience was actually listening to my whole journey track list or the project album as a YouTube playlist, find it below or here!
While listening to all my songs and painting away, I created this piece.

I'll have a reel of the whole process sped up and with a little closing voiceover on Instagram , but I reflect more on this blog portion. It's hard to fit all my thoughts in a short one minute and twenty seconds.
In song: thank you, I asked this reflection prompt:
i invite you to take a moment and reflect:
How do you share and express your gratitude to others? Is there anyone you'd like to say "thank you for meeting me wherever I'm at, every day, and every step of our paths" and want to send some love too?
And when I think of my answer to the above, and given the timing that this is the ending song, I wanted to express my gratitude for anyone who has held a space with me throughout this journey. For the support I received from the planning stages, to the start, in the middle, maybe the near end.
And the best way that I share and express is honestly through creative self-expression, through yes, my thank you song, but also through art, and through words. The whole shabang.
Genuinely, thank you for holding this space with me.
For showing up the best you can and however you are able to.
If you were more of a ghost follower
If you engaged a bit
If you listened
If you talked with me
If you supported with a like or follow
If you resonated and felt something
If you enjoyed
If you were here
Truly, thank you.
With this, I want to repeat my track list poem, as this project's journey was not only for me but also for anyone who needs a safe space, to listen, to feel, to create, to just be. There is a blog post about it here.
MAP2 HOLD A SPACE is not only about songs I've written, it is a journey, my process, growth and reflection of how creativity helped build a space for my well-being and healing.
Through many stormy seasons, I found myself tangled hoping that everything will be okay.
Yes, happiness will find you, and sometimes it's hard to ride your wave when internally, you burn to ashes.
Keep your head up and try to count your stars,
remember the good ol' times,
visit and reflect by our lakeside.
After every storm, it'll be sunshine baby.
So thank you always for surviving and vibing.
I am sending you lots of love and support, whatever you need!
I hope you know that you can always hold a space, with moments as pieces of music, art and photos.
And that if you ever need be, this project also exists to hold a space for creative reflection, drop by and come back whenever you need to.
Listen to a song, reflect on a question, or feel and follow along a creative prompt.
Thank you for holding this space with me.
Lots of love.
Take care always.
